Help Your Child Build Confidence in Art. Even If They Think They

“Can’t Draw”

Join my structured, confidence-building art membership designed for kids around the age of 11–14.

Does This Sound Like Your Child?

  • They say, “I can’t draw, or I hate art," and start to avoid art altogether.

  • They compare their work to others and quickly lose confidence, even though they used to love being creative.

  • School art lessons don’t always suit how they learn.

  • They don’t know how to improve, so they get stuck and give up.

  • You want to support them… but you’re not sure how!

  • You’d love them to enjoy art again, without pressure or mess at home.

You’re not alone.

I speak to so many parents who feel the same.
Children often lose confidence in art during these years — not because they lack ability, but because they don’t have the right guidance or structure to help them improve.

That’s exactly why I created Arts Instruct.

It’s a step-by-step online art programme designed specifically for ages 11–14 — helping your child build real skills, grow in confidence, and enjoy art again.

Arts Instruct is designed to support creative young people aged 11–14 with structured lessons that build skills, confidence and independence,

without overwhelming parents.

Hi, I’m Jo, a qualified art teacher (PGCE) and the creator of Arts Instruct.

I specialise in teaching students aged 11–14, and over the years I’ve seen the same pattern again and again…

Children who once loved art begin to lose confidence. They start saying, “I can’t draw” or "I hate art," and gradually stop trying altogether. Not because they lack creativity, but because they haven’t been shown how to develop their skills in a way that feels achievable.

That’s why I created Arts Instruct.

To give students clear, structured guidance, helping them build real skills, grow in confidence, and enjoy art again, without pressure.

Over time, you’ll see your child go from saying “I can’t draw”… to feeling more confident, capable, and willing to give things a go.

With clear, step-by-step guidance, they’ll begin to understand how to improve, develop their skills, and most importantly — enjoy being creative again.
