Inspiring creative tweens & teens to build confidence through art.

Designed by a qualified secondary art teacher who understands how children learn - not just how to make art.

Somewhere between primary school and secondary school, many children stop believing they're creative.

They begin comparing themselves to others, worrying about getting things "right", or deciding they're simply

"Not good at art". You may hear "I can't draw!"

I don't believe creativity works like that.

That's why I created Arts Instruct...

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your child loves being creative but doesn't know what to make.

  • They enjoy art but have started saying they're "not very good."

  • You'd love to encourage their creativity but don't know where to start.

  • You want something more meaningful than YouTube or Pinterest.

Art isn't about producing perfect drawings.

It's about learning how to think like an artist.

Why I Created Arts Instruct

Hi, I’m Jo, a qualified art teacher (PGCE) and the creator of Arts Instruct.

I specialise in teaching tweens & teens, and over the years I see the same pattern again and again…

Children who once loved art begin to lose confidence. They start saying, “I can’t draw” or "I hate art," and gradually stop trying altogether. Not because they lack creativity, but because they haven’t been shown how to develop their skills in a way that feels achievable.

I created Arts Instruct after seeing too many children lose confidence in art simply because they believed they couldn't draw.

Why Parents Choose Arts Instruct for their Tweens / Teens

Arts Instruct was created for young people who love being creative but need a little guidance

to build their confidence.

Through structured projects inspired by real artists, I help tweens & teens to develop artistic skills, creative thinking and the confidence to enjoy art without the pressure of being "perfect".

  • Your child will always have something inspiring to create.
